Part of Talpiot's mandate is to provide comprehensive tuition information to prospective students so that they can accurately forecast the cost of their education.
There are two areas of fees that impact on the cost of education at Talpiot:
Program Fees and Additional Credit Fees. Program Fees The cost of studying at Talpiot for the 2011-2012 academic year is fixed according to the program of study that the student enrols into. All of the programs listed include five mandatory courses in advanced Judaic Studies. The breakdown of the program fees is anticipated to be as follows: Education $11,500 Special Education $11,500 Speech Language Prerequisite Program $13,500 Web Page Design $13,500 Any individual or additional course will be charged at the rate of $750 per course. NOTE: Talpiot College retains the right to revise the fee structure without prior notice. All cheques are to be made payable to Beth Jacob Academy. Full payment must be provided before the term begins. Four equal payments dated September 1, 2006, November 1, 2006, January 1, 2007, and March 1, 2007 are required prior to admission to the first class. Talpiot reserves the right to penalize students, refuse access to class, withhold marks and/or to refuse to process transcripts or assist students in any manner until all financial matters are cleared to Talpiot's satisfaction. Charitable donation receipts are not issued for tuition payments. However, a Tuition and Education Amount Certificate (T2202A) is issued. Additional Credit Fees As a registered testing centre for a variety of distance learning options, such as the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and New York University (NYU), students sometimes utilize these options to earn credits that they might be lacking. Please note the following additional information relating to fees relating to earning credit: CLEP Tests US $72 DANTES (DSST exams) US $70 TECEP Exams US $140/credit Excelsior College Exams US $295 New York University (NYU) Foreign Language Exams (Hebrew, Yiddish) US $390 Talpiot Hebrew Language Exam 12 credits $245 16 credits $300 On average, the cost for Talpiot students to take additional CLEP and Talpiot Hebrew Language credit examinations is between $400US to $500US. Refund Policies Due to the significant commitment to our educational partners in order to create a viable program, no refunds will be forthcoming once classes have commenced. Textbooks and software Texts and learning materials are available for purchase or rental. Booklists and prices will be available at the beginning of each term. At the end of the term, students are required to return all rented books. It is important that each student budget between $200-$450 for textbooks. Photocopies for course materials are approximately $25 - $30. NOTE: Students will not receive a grade for any course in which texts or materials have not been returned. | |
